In light of the ongoing pandemic, Dynamic Hospitality & Entertainment Group, the parent company of Toronto’s nostalgic event properties and restaurant chains are helping to support groups throughout the GTA impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak. 

Management teams at the Guild Inn Estate, Eglinton Grand, Yuk Yuk’s and Wendel Clark’s Classic Grill & Bar have been pulling their resources together to show appreciation to essential frontline workers, donating cooked meals to long-term care (LTC) homes and bulk food donations to homeless shelters. 

“Our first instinct was to find those forgotten amidst the generous acts of donations to charities and appreciation to Canada’s essential workers”, explains Veronica Michalczak, a staff member at Dynamic Hospitality.

“We started to contact LTC facilities near the Guild Inn Estate and coordinated a delivery of warm cooked meals to frontline staff for both the Altamont Care and Seven Oaks LTC homes”, Veronica shared.  

Another recipient was Good Shepherd Ministries, currently at full capacity in need of food donations to feed its homeless residents in self-isolation. The team managed to deliver cooked meals for the residents and staff along with bulk food donations. 

Torontonians may have also seen trending social media posts of the Eglinton Grand’s renowned marquee messages thanking essential workers and encouraging the neighbourhood to stay positive and strong together.

We would like to wish everyone safe passage through this unprecedented time. Our hearts go out to all that have been affected by COVID-19.

As we navigate through these trying times, we want to take this opportunity to thank everyone, past and future clients for allowing us to host and execute their weddings, showers, birthdays, product launches, holiday parties and everything in between. Thank you for trusting and choosing Dynamic Hospitality with your special day!

During this global crisis, we have seen enormous changes to our business. Our industry is being faced with unforeseen circumstances, one that no one was prepared for. In our 30+ years of being in the hospitality business, we have never been faced with a crisis the scale of COVID-19.

Our business has been very much impacted by the pandemic. We understand that planning a special day with family and friends includes guests traveling from abroad. With borders shut down this makes it impossible for everyone to share in your special day. 

We also want you to know that we too are affected. We have been faced with the difficult decision to layoff hundreds of valued employees while some employees remain on payroll for us to continue to operate, incurring ongoing operational costs.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our loyal employees and fellow vendors and suppliers, who are all experiencing this negative impact.

Within our industry there is no blueprint to navigate through this pandemic, we are all working tirelessly to adapt. As a company, we will continue to operate and cater to all of our clients, while looking at all conceivable ways to respond to a challenging situation. We will continue to do what is required.

Our approach has been to try and postpone clients that are immediately impacted by COVID-19. We are following all guidelines set out and are doing our best to come up with a resolve to help alleviate stress. We have been very successful in doing this, as our clients are understanding that we are in this together.

This is no easy task. This is an emotional time for all of us where stress levels, frustration, grief and anger can easily take over. It is important now more than ever, that we unite together and support each other, be kind to one another and remember we are all being impacted by this pandemic.

We want to thank all of our fellow industry members, suppliers, our clients and community for their understanding and support.

While the venue will be closed throughout the shutdown, as directed by government officials, our website and sales department are continuing to accept inquiries and bookings. COVID-19 UpdateTuesday March 17, 2020

Dynamic Hospitality & Entertainment Group is concerned with the health and safety of our guests during these trying times.

As the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak continues to evolve, we are working with our clients to try to accommodate them. We recognize this is an evolving situation and we will be monitoring and adapting our health and safety practices as new information becomes available to us. During the Government’s State of Emergency, the Guild Inn Estate and the Eglinton Grand Event Venue, will follow the guidelines as stated by the Government of the Province of Ontario.
